Course Description/Outline/Objectives: General science is an introduction to the sciences. The course covers a broad range of topics including the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, archaeology, geology, paleontology, biology, and human anatomy and physiology. The hands on labs as well as class content will help students understand the concepts more concretely. Class time is meant to supplement and enhance learning done at home, so it is important that students are prepared for class each week. Although the majority of experiments will be performed in class, students may be asked to perform a few experiments at home and complete other assigned projects in order to heighten learning.
Expected Weekly Time Commitment for Homework: 4-5 hours
