Shelly Stanley has enjoyed music from a very young age and many of her favorite teachers and most impactful adults were musicians in her life. Shelly was trained in piano from the age of 8, competing nationally yearly and performing multiple times a year. Shelly started receiving vocal training at age 15 and sang in the elite choir at her high school, Emory and Henry College, MTSU and then as an adult in church praise teams. Shelly has taught private piano lessons as well as music classes at Discipleship Tutorial's Co-op. She currently plays keyboard and sings each Sunday on her church's praise team.

Course Description/Outline/Objectives: 
In this class, we will learn the basics of sewing. From hand sewing to quilting including embroidery, basic garment sewing, and everything else in between. Students will need to have a basic sewing machine for this class. Most weeks they will simply complete the project at home, but some weeks they will need to bring it with them to class. Students may wish to buy materials, embellishments, and other notions on their own. The supply fee will include basics but nothing "extra" and there will be limited choices. Take this class in conjunction with costuming for a full experience.

Expected Weekly Time Commitment for Homework:  1-2 hours
